Delfs' Success Stories - Anne Yorston

Hi my name is Anne. After having three children in three years my body changed into the typical mother type physique. I had lost my waist and my bottom half had become much larger.  Since the birth of my third child back in 1994, I have been trying to lose 25 pounds. Whenever I tried to diet, I ended up starving and would then binge. Over the last two years I have been exercising regularly but still only saw minimal results. Because I was working out regularly, I thought I could eat whatever I wanted - chips, pizza, cake etc. in big servings.

In May of this year, Delfs' gave our morning group a six week challenge before the bathing suit season started. They introduced us to a very healthy nutritional plan that was very easy to follow and would cure hunger cravings if followed properly. Also since May, Delfs' have challenged us to very vigorous cardio workouts pushing us harder all the time. At the same time I started a weight lifting class with Casey, which also challenged me to improve each week. Between the drastic change in my eating habits, cardio workouts and weight lifting the weight started to drop weekly and I am very close to my 25 pound goal.

I have decreased my clothing size by two sizes, and shopping for clothing is becoming fun again. I have received many compliments about my weight loss in the last month and it has been very encouraging. Now that makes me feel good!  I have to keep it off and keep toning those "hard to tone" areas

I have many thank-you's to the Delfs' staff for great classes and helpful hints. Thanks also to Charles for great yoga classes that pull everything together with flexibility and relaxation.

If I can give any advice about losing weight and reshaping your body - it's so much to do with the type of food we eat. Fad diets will never work for long; it has to be a permanent change in the way you eat.
