Notes: For all 1 step sparring
techniques,
the attacker and defender start in a ready stance. The attacker then
steps forward with the right leg into a walking stance punch and Kihaps.
The defender then defends and Kihaps on the last technique.
1.
Outer Forearm Block The
left leg steps back into a Right L stance while right arm executes an outer
forearm midsection block to to the punch. Push the arm out of way and follow
with a back fist strike to bridge of nose. Step in with the
right foot forming a left L stance away from the attacker, elbow
strike to solar plexus. (Kihap)

Palm Block While blocking the punch with a
left palm block, the left leg steps out to left side into a riding
stance beside the attacker. Follow up by executing a right, then left
low-section punch to the floating ribs. (Kihap)
3.
Knife Hand Strikes The left leg steps to the left
avoiding the punch as the right leg follows then steps behind
the attackers leading foot into right L stance. Follow with a
low section knife hand to the floating ribs then a high section
knife hand to the neck. (Kihap)
4. Inner Knife Hand Strike The
right leg steps forward into right L stance as right arm executes a right
inner knife
hand strike to the neck and the left hand blocks the punch with a
knife hand block. The left hand then grabs the punching arm as the
right arm executes a knife hand strike to the other side of the
attackers neck. (Kihap)
5.
Elbow Strikes
Right hand closes and comes to the chest as the left hand is
placed on top of the fist. Right leg steps forward into
right L stance, while right arm executes and elbow strike to the
jaw. Step in with the right foot forming a left L stance
away from the attacker, elbow
strike to solar plexus. (Kihap)
6.
Punch Block
Right hand closes and comes to the chest as the left hand is
placed on top of the fist. Right leg steps forward into
right L stance while executing a right punch to the nose, and
left knife hand block. Right leg then steps into a right
walking stance as the left hand does an upset punch the the
solar plexus. (Kihap)
Blue belts and up
will add a right ridge hand after the upset punch.
