1 Step  Kicking Techniques



Notes: For all 1 step sparring techniques, the attacker and defender start in a ready stance. The attacker then steps forward with the right leg into a walking stance punch and Kihaps. The defender then defends and Kihaps on the last technique.

1. Front Kick - Turning Kick

The left leg executes a front kick to the mid section then places down near the right foot (place foot down pointing outwards) Right leg follows with a turning kick to the mid or high section landing in right leg fighting stance. (Kihap)

2. Side Kick - Back Kick

The right leg executes a right side kick to the mid section then places down near left foot. Look at attacker over left shoulder  with both eyes and execute a left back kick. (Kihap) After kick bring leg back around into right leg fighting stance.

3. Sweeping Block - Turning Kick

Right leg executes an inner-outer sweeping block to attackers punching arm. ( Block with the edge of the foot) next place right leg down near left foot and execute a left turning kick to the attackers mid section or optionally head. (Kihap) Right leg fighting stance.

4. Sweeping Block - Back Kick

Right leg executes an outer-inner sweeping block to attackers punching arm. (Block with the sole of the foot) landing beside left foot. Look at attacker over left shoulder  with both eyes and execute a left back kick. (Kihap) After kick bring leg back around into right leg fighting stance.

5. Sweeping Block - Spin Hooking Kick

Right leg executes an outer-inner sweeping block to attackers punching arm. (Block with the sole of the foot) landing beside left foot. Look at attacker over left shoulder and execute a left spinning hook kick. (Kihap) Land in left leg fighting stance.
